Welcome to Mrs. Denise's Website

 Welcome to Fourth Grade!

Dear Students,

I am excited to welcome you to Fourth Grade! It’s a wonderful adventure that we will embark on together.  We will learn so many new things in Math and build on skills you already have including three-digit by three-digit multiplication and long division.  We will write in different genres and explore different skills in reading all of which will culminate with our famous Book’s Journey Project at the end of the year.  Also, New York state will be our focus in S.S. as well as interesting topics in Science such as: animals and plants!  I’m including a supply list to help you get ready with all the items you will need.  I can’t wait to meet you in September!

Supply List

Mrs. Denise

Below is a list of supplies that students should have to begin the year.  Please label all of these items with the student’s name.

  • Pencils
  • Erasers
  • Pencil box or pouch (a soft-sided pouch fits in the desk better)
  • 2 pocket folders
  • 1 marble composition notebook
  • Personal hand sanitizer – low or unscented
  • Headphones – in a bag with name on headphones and on bag. These can be whatever kind of headphones your child prefers.
  • Water bottles – I strongly recommend each student has one with their name on it
  • Ziploc – one box of each: gallon and sandwich size
  • Tissues – donations are appreciated and always needed

**Please do not send any 3-ring binders.   Also, students will not need any pens or locker decorations at this time.

*I will be providing students with an individual set of markers/colored pencils/scissors/crayons and rulers, so you don’t need to purchase these – you may bring your own if there are certain ones that you would like to use. (if supply orders come in)

Welcome to fourth grade!  This will be an exciting year.  I hope you will enjoy it.
