Rhinebeck School District Passes Along NYS Department of Health Information on Fighting the Flu at Home and at School

Each year, to comply with New York State Public Health Law (PHL) § 613, schools are required to post information about influenza (flu) and the benefits of flu vaccination at the start of flu season. Flu season begins in early fall and can last through May.

In order to assist with parent preparations to address issues related to influenza and to creat a healthier school environment during flu season, we are providing the information contained in this new publication, Parents: Fight Flu at Home and School. Click here to access this information in English and in Spanish. Fight the Flu at Home and School

It is geared to parents and guardians and explains why flu is serious, provides signs and symptoms of the disease, and recommends annual flu vaccination to protect children from flu. Contact your health care provider with any questions about the flu that you might have or for additional information about dealing with the flu during the upcoming flu season.
