Rhinebeck High School Introduces Web-based Platform, Naviance, to Assist Students and Parents with College and Career Planning
Rhinebeck High School is pleased to announce that Naviance Student—a mobile-friendly, password-protected, web-based platform that students and their parents will have available for their use to research and to make plans about colleges and careers.
Naviance Student allows high school students to:
- Get involved in the planning and advising process—build a resume, complete online surveys, and manage timelines and deadlines for making decisions about colleges and careers;
- Research Colleges—retrieve detailed information regarding college programs and admissions criteria;
- Research Careers—research hundreds of careers and career clusters, and take career assessments; and
- Create future plans—create goals and to-dos, and complete tasks assigned by the school to better prepare your student for future college and careers goals
Naviance Student also lets us share information with parents and students about upcoming meetings and events, local scholarship opportunities, and other resources for college and career information. The rollout of Naviance Student will begin this year in College and Careers I, College and Careers II, and in Health Class.
Once we have provided students with their registration codes and access, parents will be provided with their own personal registration code in order to create their own account. In the meantime, please visit www.naviance.com for more information about this program.
We are excited to be able to provide this enhancement to our guidance function, and we look forward to working with parents and students in their post-secondary planning!
