Nominating petitions for BOE Seats (3 three-year terms) Due No Later Than 5:00 pm on Monday, April 22, 2019; Absentee Ballot Schedule Also Outlined
Reminder: Petitions for nominating candidates for the office of member of the Board of Education [for three (3) three-year terms] must be filed with the Clerk of the District (45 North Park Road, Rhinebeck, NY) by no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2019. The school district is closed that day. However, the District Office will be open between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm that day in order to receive petitions. Please go to the District Office side door, labeled “Community Room,” for entrance to the building. For handicap accessibility, please call 845-871-5520 ext. 5522.
Absentee ballots for the School District Election and Vote may be obtained at the office of the District Clerk. The application for an absentee ballot must bylaw be received by the District Clerk at least seven (7) days prior to the election if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election if the ballot will be picked up personally by the voter at the office of the District Clerk. By law Absentee ballots must be received at the Office of the District Clerk by no later than 5:00 pm, prevailing time, on the day of the Election and Vote, May 21, 2019.
