2nd Quarter Interim Reports for Students in Grades 6-12 Now Available Through the Parent Portal, Effective Thursday, Dec 20, 2018

The first fifteen weeks of the 2018-19 school year have come and gone, and with them the arrival of the second interim (5-week) reporting period.  Again this year, the Rhinebeck Central School District is providing to parents the benefit of password-protected on-line access to middle school or high school student’s interim reports, as well as interim reports and grade reports that are archived in SchoolTool, our student information database, from prior years. The first interim reporting period comments will be available through the parent portal today, Thursday, December 20, 2018.

The District is making this information available digitally in an effort to improve communications about student achievement, as well as to save taxpayer money on paper and postage and to make better use of clerical resources.

In order to access the SchoolTool “parent portal” to be able to view a child’s second interim report for the 2018-19 school year, parents should log on to https://st-rb.mhric.org/rhinebeck/default.aspx. The username is the e-mail address provided to the school district, which is the e-mail address to which a message notifying you of the availability of your child’s second quarter interim report was recently sent.

If there are any questions or problems using SchoolTool, parents can get help by clicking on the School Tool Parent Portal link under the “Families” tab on the school district web site’s main page at www.rhinebeckcsd.org.  Parents can also contact their child’s building principal or guidance counselor by telephone or e-mail so they can be connected with the necessary assistance.

For parents who have requested a hard copy of their child’s interim report through the US mail, it will arrive at your home over the next several days.  However, parents can access their child’s interim report immediately, through SchoolTool’s “parent portal,” without waiting for the US mail to be delivered to your home.

Finally, the District appreciates the parent support for this quicker, more efficient, and less expensive means of communicating with parents about their children’s academic progress.
