The 19th annual Rhinebeck Central School District Art Show at Starr Library is off and running.

An opening reception kicked the show off on May 2, and over 100 pieces of student art will continue to be displayed at the library through May 30.

“We had a great turnout for the art opening with artists, families, students, community members, staff and administrators coming out to admire the work of our talented students,” said Chancellor Livingston Elementary School art teacher Fawn Johnson.

The exhibit features contemporary and traditional styles of work by students taking art classes taught by Johnson, Jennifer Famiglietti at Bulkeley Middle School, and Kathryn Giles and Cynthia Baer at Rhinebeck High School.

“This is the last show that Cynthia Baer is participating in as she is retiring this year,” said Johnson. “She has been such an important part of our team and she will be greatly missed.”

The public is invited to attend the show during the hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and 1-4 p.m. on Saturday. Contact Michelle Montalbano at (845) 876-4030 or visit www.starrlibrary.org for more information.
