Rhinebeck High School Junior Brooke Centineo was celebrated by family, educators and friends at the Rhinebeck Central School District Board of Education meeting in honor of her being named Dutchess BOCES Career Technical Institute’s (CTI) Student of Distinction.
Brooke, a first year Welding and Fabrication student, has presented exemplary skills and accomplishments both in her welding abilities and relationships in the classroom. Brooke’s teachers acknowledge it is her leadership, attitude, performance and consistency that sets her apart.
Brooke attributes her interest in welding to being “sparked” – pun intended - by her older brother who had produced some “cool projects” during his time as a student in the Dutchess BOCES CTI Welding and Fabrication program. Brooke stated she values the creative freedom of the program and is considering an artistic pathway in welding in the future.
