Welcome to 4th grade! Hello everyone! This week we will be finishing up Unit 6 in Math. Students have been practicing long division and improving each day. Everyone should continue to practice their basic multiplication and division facts! It's very helpful when doing multi-step problems. We'll review angles, coordinate grids, and learn how to use a protractor too. Our Unit 6 test will be on Tuesday (2/7). We'll be finishing up our unit on weather soon. This week we will learn how to read a weather map, and talk about different types of storms. In Social Studies we'll learn about Henry Hudson and his voyages! Most students have chosen a topic and "just right" book for our reports. We are off to a good start collecting facts and planning our writing. We've been having fun making inferences in Reading. This week students will read riddles and try to infer what object they are describing. Our class has been preparing for their Folk Heritage performance on Thursday. I can't wait to see their dance moves and listen to their singing!!
**Band begins this week. Participating students should come prepared with their instruments and music on Wednesdays and Fridays.**
Happy learning! Ms. Wasik :)
