Save the Date: Mon, March 5, 2018 for "The Power of Resilience," a Presentation of the RCSD Health & Wellness Committee and the Rhinebeck Science Foundation
On Monday, March 5, 2018, the Rhinebeck Central School District CSD Health and Wellness Committee, with the support of the Rhinebeck Science Foundation, will present "The Power of Resilience," a program addressing the topic of children and anxiety, for parents and students in grades 6-12. This important and timley presentation will take place in the Rhinebeck Central School District Auditorium in the BMS/RHS school building from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. There is no charge for attending.
The program will be headlined by renowned speaker and author Bonnie St. John, a winter paralympic medalist, scholar, author, and international speaker and trainer. Ms. St. John's most recent book, "Micro Resilience," uses powerful science-based techniques to boost focus, drive, and energy, and her presentation will address how resilience can help with:
- Keeping stress from becoming toxic;
- Brain development and the ability to focus; and
- Managing the effects of technology/screen time.
Through the support of the Rhinebeck Science Foundation, the first 100 attendees will receive a complimentary copy of Ms. St. John's book.
