REMINDER: First "Coffee with the Board" Event of 2017-18 Scheduled for Wed, Nov 15 at CLS and BMS/RHS, Focuses on the Future of Rhinebeck's Schools
Please join members of the Rhinebeck Central School District Board of Education and Superintendent Joseph Phelan for the first of this year's "Coffee with the Board" sessions, on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. These “Coffee Hours” will be held at the Chancellor Livingston Elementary in Room 124 (first classroom to the right of the greeter’s desk on that side of the hallway) from 9:00 to 10:00 am, and at the Bulkeley Middle School/Rhinebeck High School Library from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.
The Board is interested in speaking with members of the community about the future of Rhinebeck's schools. The BOE needs your thinking about what works well at our schools now, and what we should consider for the coming years. This is an opportunity to learn from each other and to think together about our future. Please attend and help us shape our school community for the coming years.
The Rhinebeck Central School Board of Education “coffee hours” are held several times each year, both in the morning and in the evening in order to accommodate the busy schedules of our community members These informal opportunities for discussion with Board of Education members are open to parents, students, and other members of the community. Several members of the Board of Education will attend each of the two “coffee hours” on a given day to meet with their constituents and to hear and discuss the public’s ideas and thoughts about the District’s schools, programs, and services in a casual, relaxed setting over coffee, tea, and light refreshments.
