BMS and RHS 1st Quarter Grades Now Available Through the District's Parent Portal
The first five weeks of the 2015-16 school year have come and gone, and with them the arrival of the first quarter reporting period. Again this year, the District is providing parents with the benefit of password-protected on-line access to middle school or high school student’s interim reports, as well as interim reports and grade reports from prior years that are archived in SchoolTool, our student information database. Children’s first quarter reporting period grades are now available through the parent portal.
We are making this information available to digitally in an effort to improve communications to parents about student achievement, as well as to save taxpayer money on paper and postage and to make better use of our clerical resources.
In order to access the SchoolTool “parent portal” to be able to view a child’s first quarter grade report for the 2015-16 school year, parents must use the primary e-mail address that they have on file with the Rhinebeck Central School District, which is the e-mail address to which a recent e-mail on this subject was sent. First-time users will be able to log in to SchoolTool and set an individual 8+ digit password for future access.
Parents who have any questions or problems using SchoolTool can get help by clicking on the School Tool Parent Portal link under the Families tab on the school district web site’s main page (www.rhinebeckcsd.org). They can also contact their child’s building principal or guidance counselor by telephone or e-mail to be connected with the necessary assistance. For parents who have requested a hard copy of their child’s interim report through the US mail, it will arrive at home over the next day or so. However, parents can access their child’s interim report immediately, through SchoolTool’s “parent portal”, without waiting for the US mail to be delivered to the home.
We appreciate the ongoing positive feedback about our quicker, more efficient, and less expensive means of communicating with you about each child’s academic progress. We look forward to the continued sharing of input with us about this process.
