Just this past week, Chancellor Livingston Elementary School, as well as the Rhinebeck Central School District overall, including Rhinebeck High School and Bulkeley Middle School, were recognized by the New York State Education Department as a "high performing/gap closing" elementary school and school district. A total of 1,759 public schools, 19 charter schools, and 288 public school districts statewide have been named “High Performing/Gap Closing” under the federal No Child Left Behind Act. “High Performing/Gap Closing” schools and districts, including CLS and the RCSD. have been recognized for meeting all applicable State standards for English Language Arts (ELA) and math during the 2006-07 school year and for making Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in ELA and math for two consecutive years. This
recognition could not be made possible without the hard work and dedication of
Rhinebeck’s teaching, non-instructional, and administrative staff. These
achievements also are the result of the sustained and focused efforts of our
students, of your parental support of our schools and our programs and, most
importantly, of the support you give as parents to your children to do their
best work and to achieve their potential as students in our schools.
Congratulations to all!
